The Role:
We’re hiring our Founding Marketer to build and own the entire marketing function at MAAT.
This role isn’t for everyone. You’re not here to “do ads” or “manage social”.
You’re here to build a function from scratch to drive revenue and establish MAAT’s brand in core markets.
You will work directly with the founders and sales team to:
Generate pipeline through established channels
Run new experiments for brand awareness and lead gen
Build, analyze and improve conversion funnels
You will own both execution and strategy from day one.
Role Progression:
Phase 1 (first 3 months):
Own current channels (Meta, organic, CRM Lifecycle automations)
Drive immediate pipeline for sales
Build core marketing assets (content, case studies, messaging)
Phase 2:
Expand winning channels
Run net new experiments
Phase 3:
Hire and lead the marketing team
Own marketing as a core growth driver of the company
Your Mission:
The mission is to create the MAAT marketing system to fuel lead gen and increase brand awarenees.
You will:
Generate qualified demo pipeline for the sales team, consistently
Improve conversion rates across the funnel (lead → demo → close)
Own and execute across key channels:
Paid (Meta)
Organic (content, SEO, social)
CRM (Lifecycle automations)
Talk to customers and turn insights into:
Better positioning
Better campaigns
Build and test new acquisition channels (from scratch)
Build a team
About You:
Experience: You’ve built something from scratch. A Youtube channel, a successful IG or TikTok account, a Substack. Or you have done marketing in a small team, ideally as single operator.
Execution speed: You move fast, ship constantly, and iterate weekly.
Operator mindset: You’re hands-on. You write copy, launch campaigns, analyze results, vibe code a marketing tool, no waiting around.
Customer obsession: Ideally you belong to the combat sport industry so you know who you are talking to, their culture, problems and needs.
Self-starter: Entrepreneurial, proactive, and you get sh*t done.
Adaptable: Comfortable with chaos, ambiguity, and rapid change.
